Our company is led by Chairman and Managing Director Mr Lamina Olatoye Rasheed, a respected industry pioneer with over 40 years of experience in the Nigerian fisheries and seafood sector. His career spans the evolution of Nigeria’s fish importation and distribution industry, during which he has played a central role in shaping standards practices and long term industry growth.
Mr Rasheed is widely recognised for his deep operational knowledge of fish importation processing and distribution, as well as his strong relationships across local and international supply chains. His experience has enabled Amexfish to grow steadily into a trusted seafood company known for reliability quality consistency and market relevance.
Beyond Amexfish, Mr Rasheed serves as the head of the Nigerian Fish Importers Association, where he actively represents the interests of industry stakeholders and works closely with regulators policymakers and private sector partners. In this role he has been a strong advocate for sustainable fish importation practices improved cold chain infrastructure and policies that support food security and sector development in Nigeria.
He is also a vocal and long standing advocate for the trawling sector and the broader fisheries value chain, consistently promoting responsible practices industry collaboration and investment into Nigeria’s maritime and seafood economy.
